INTERNSHIPS

Internships with Thorr Collective offer young creatives and scholars a rare chance to engage directly with the vibrant grassroots of Rajasthan. From working alongside hereditary artists and craftspeople to collaborating with researchers and local communities, interns become part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary ecosystem. These immersive experiences not only leave a lasting impact on the intern—shaping their skills, perspectives, and future pathways—but also bring fresh energy and new ideas to our collective practice.

Why do internship?

Internships play a crucial role in bridging academic learning and real-world experience. They offer students and emerging professionals the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, develop essential skills, and build meaningful networks within their chosen fields. Internships also foster a deeper understanding of professional environments, encourage self-reflection, and often serve as a gateway to future career opportunities.

Value of interns

Interns bring fresh ideas, energy, and valuable support to our team. They help boost productivity, contribute to knowledge exchange, and often grow into future collaborators. For us, internships are a meaningful way to invest in the next generation while strengthening our own practice.

"Hello! I’m Francesca Zebri and I study Hindi at the University of Venice (Italy). A few months ago, I had the chance to do an internship with the passionate team at Thorr Kala. By spending time with Suwa and her family in the village, I learned about Kalbelia culture and art, and together we created some beautiful pieces for the collection. I’m truly grateful for this unforgettable experience."
